Stoughton Music School Group Ensembles
The objectives of the Stoughton Music Group Ensembles are for students to establish leadership, teambuilding and lifelong skills while continuing to master and develop command of their chosen instrument.
Since the inception of the program in April of 2010, the groups have performed in a wide variety of venues throughout the Boston area. Past acts have included serving as the opener for Kenne Highland, 2010 Memphis Award Winning Artists the Tokyo Tramps and the Bar Room Heroes, who have toured with the Dropkick Murphys.
Not only will students develop and grow in learning their instrument, but will also gain valuable experience in a team setting. With the experience of instructor Mike Rubin, students will learn and develop the small, intricate aspects of playing in an ensemble group. Important criteria include tempo control, dynamics, volume control, vocal and melodic harmonies as well as choosing the right chords and notes to play within a given song.
Enrollment is $80 per student, pre-paid for four one hour sessions.
