STOUGHTON MUSIC SCHOOL
LESSON POLICY
Effective September 1, 2011
| CANCELLATIONS: Stoughton Music Center requires a one day advance notice if a student is not able to attend their scheduled lesson. Sick cancellations must be left on the store’s answering machine prior to the store’s opening. In the event of a teacher’s absence, Stoughton Music Center will provide a substitute teacher from our staff or try to reschedule that lesson. |
| MAKEUP LESSONS: Stoughton Music Center will provide a makeup lesson only if the cancellation requirements are met. All monthly balances must be paid in full in order to schedule any make-up lessons. Cancelled scheduled make-up lessons will result in the loss of the lesson and will not be rescheduled. We will allow up to 4 make-up lessons per year per student. Our lesson year runs September 1 to August 31. Make-up lessons owed are void once the student is removed from our schedule or the end of our lesson year is reached. |
| SCHOOL VACATIONS: Stoughton Music Center teaches lessons on all school vacations on our regular schedule and regular policy applies. |
| JULY and AUGUST: Stoughton Music Center teaches lessons all year long. Enrolled students are required to pay for the full month of June. Students who take lessons in July and August are not required to pay for lessons if they are on vacation. Please give advance notice. |
| HOLIDAYS: There are no lessons on the following holidays: NEW YEARS DAY, MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY, PRESIDENTS DAY, MEMORIAL DAY, INDEPENDENCE DAY, LABOR DAY, COLUMBUS DAY, HALLOWEEN NIGHT (Lessons until 6:00 PM), VETERANS DAY, THANKSGIVING EVE (Lessons until 6:00 PM), THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS EVE, CHRISTMAS DAY and NEW YEARS EVE. |
| WEATHER CANCELLATIONS: In the event of a snowstorm, call Stoughton Music Center to see if we are still having lessons. If Stoughton Music Center remains open, regular policy applies. If we cancel lessons due to a snowstorm, we will leave a message on the store's answering machine. |
Upon enrollment and receipt of this lesson policy, the student agrees to the above terms.
Lesson Rates
Effective September 1, 2011
Lesson Payment Policy All private music lessons at our school are paid monthly in advance billable by the calendar month.
If the full monthly payment is not paid in full on the first scheduled lesson of the month (whether the student
attends the lesson or cancels it) the lesson rates increase by $1.00 per lesson for that month and no further lessons
will be given until the monthly balance is paid in full. Stoughton Music School accepts:
Cash, Checks, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express for lesson payments.* We also provide a credit card
kept on file payment plan. All Instruments Voice Group Ensembles Family Discount Plan Music Instruction Books
* LESSON PAYMENTS ARE NON REFUNDABLE & NON TRANSFERABLE.
$23.00 Per half hour private lesson
$25.00 Per half hour private lesson
$20.00 per person for a one hour ensemble prepaid four ensembles in advance.
A 10% discount will be applied to any family that enrolls an additional immediate family
member to our lesson program. Full price for the first student(highest + rate applies) 10%
discount applied to each additional family member for the prepaid monthly bill. No Family Discounts are allowed on partial month payments. Full monthly payment required to receive the 10% discount.
Enrolled students at Stoughton Music School are required to purchase music instruction books and teaching supplies used by our instructors and sold separately at our retail store.
