Carol Perkins has been teaching voice lessons at Stoughton Music Center since the store's opening in 1988. She graduated from Bridgewater State College majoring in speech communications and vocal performance. Carol has been accepted to S.E.M.S.B.A., S.E. District and Allstate Competitions and has appeared in several local musical productions. She was also the founder and president of the Bridgewater State College Alumni Choir. Carol prepares her students for school and community auditions.

Carol has been working with disabled children at the Massachusetts Hospital School in Canton, MA since 1993. She is the music coordinator of Massachusetts Hospital School's Summer Program under the direction of Easter Seals. In 2005, Carol received two school awards,'Going The Extra Mile' and was nominated for Employee of the Year.


Mark Silvia Jr. has been playing music since the age of four. He started with drums and saxophone in elementary school and by the time he got to high school he was profiecient in guitar, bass guitar and piano, as well. Mark attended Berklee College of Music as a Professional Music Major. He's been gigging in bands since he was seventeen and has played with local bands such as the blues band 'The Bottom Line' as the lead guitarist. In the top 40 band 'The Buzz', he played guitar and sang lead vocals. The well established wedding band 'Straight Up' featured Mark on bass, sax and guitar with some vocal duties. In 2002-2004, he played bass guitar in the award winning Boston top 40 rock band '2nd Nature'. Since then he has played with 'Blame Friday', a pop cover band and most currently with 'One Track Mind', a similar cover band. Mark taught at Stoughton Music School from 2000 to 2006 as a guitar, bass guitar, drums, piano, vocal and woodwinds instructor. He also established the Stoughton Music Center student Jazz / Rock Band. In 2006, he left to pursue a desire to work in the medical field and became an EMT working in the Brockton, MA 911 system. His love of music and teaching music has harkened him back to Stoughton Music Center where he intends to have as much success in the future as he had in the past.
