Ostin Membreno

Piano, Voice, Composition

Ostin Membreno is a classically trained pianist, vocalist (baritone) and composer/songwriter currently attending the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth for a bachelor’s degree in music education.  Before deciding to study music professionally, Ostin attended private lessons for many years. Studying under a variety of different teachers during those years, he has experienced many different and effective styles of teaching.  Ostin has experience teaching people of all ages in both piano and voice.

While serving as a church musician for local parishes, Ostin was given the opportunity to perform live on countless occasions.  In this time, he also directed and accompanied church choirs in preparation for Christmas services.

Between classical piano and voice, Ostin has performed at the professional level dozens of times during his attendance at UMass Dartmouth.  He has spent time as an accompanist for a string quartet at the university and accompanied a children’s choir in New Bedford.

Ostin has sung with the university’s choir, their exclusive audition-only a cappella chamber choir, and most recently the university’s Opera ensemble.
