Daniel Gil is a classically trained composer and violinist. Daniel earned his bachelors degree in Traditional Composition from Berklee College of Music in Boston. In addition he is a long time adherent of the Russian tradition of violin technique, and uses a focus on posture, and proper positioning of the violin to achieve a very high standard of excellency both for himself and his students.
Daniel stresses technique and reading skills in his teaching style. For beginning method studies Daniel uses the Doflein method from Germany. Other books and methods include Margeret Berend for shifting studies as well as Schradieck, Sevcik, Kayser, Dont, and many others.
Students who wish to study under the direction of Mr. Gil will be required to practice no less than a half hour a day minimum.
