Lee Elmowitz teaches trumpet to students of all ages. Lee started playing and learning to be a musician at the tender age of four. Lee has studied privately for over 20 years from some of the great trumpeters of the day: Phil Smith from the NY Philharmonic, Mel Broiles from the Metropolitan Opera in NYC and Carmine Caruso a famed chop builder. Together they have taught many of the world's greats.
Lee graduated from the High School of Performing Arts, (the Fame School), The Aaron Copeland School of Music at Queens College. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall and many other large and small venues across the country. He has appeared on television, radio and recording sessions.
Using the experience he has gained from over 20 years of private studies and performing over his lifetime he passes this knowledge to his students. Helping them learn the basics, from holding the trumpet correctly to learning trumpet concertos. Using the standard method books by Herbert L. Clarke, Arbans and others. Along with his own warm up lip drills, scale studies and ear training exercises, he will have you playing trumpet the way it is supposed to be.
