Megan Cowling-Polk is a classically trained violinist who recently graduated from Bridgewater State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a minor in Psychology. Beginning Fall of 2016, she will be continuing her education at Lesley University for her Master's in Clinical Mental Health with a specialization in Music Therapy.
Throughout her many years of violin studies, Megan has performed in many solo competitions in her home state of New York, and for one year, performed with the Westchester Music Conservatory Orchestra in White Plains, New York. During this performance year, the orchestra had the honor to perform in Carnegie Hall for a music festival. In her time studying music in Bridgewater, Megan performed in many more solo recitals, including a half hour long solo recital in April 2015, and an hour long recital in March 2016.
Megan currently teaches half hour lessons for students of any age. In her lessons, Megan stresses proper technique, ear training, music theory, as well as keeping a positive attitude. Through Bridgewater State, Megan also is qualified to teach beginner piano for any student who is interested.
